Thomas "Tommy" Farrell Carson of League City, Texas passed away October 07, 2005 in Webster, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at West Isle Presbyterian Church, 13724 Stewart Road, Galveston, Texas with Rev. Joe Hause officiating. Graveside services will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, Texas. The family will greet friends and neighbors from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, October 10, 2005 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, 1201 Tremont, Galveston, Texas with a Marine Corps League presentation at 5:30 pm and an Elks service to be held at 7:00 pm.
Thomas was born June 26, 1924 in Houston, Texas, the youngest child of Effie Julia Luckie and Richard Nathaniel Carson. Tommy served in WWII, in the United States Marines Corps from September 1942 to January 1946. In 1947 he joined Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and enjoyed a long successful career until retirement in 1985. He married Betty Louise Hennessy (deceased) on March 29, 1947. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Carson Moore and son-in-law Tim Snakenberg, sons Thomas Farrell Carson, Jr. and wife Elaine, Larry Joseph Carson and wife Jan, grandchildren Jason Carson, Stephanie Carson Mann, and Antony Ryan Moore (deceased), and great-grandchild Daniel Carson.
Tommy remarried on August 18, 1994 to Jeanette Harvey Beck. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette, stepsons Donald Beck and wife Margaret, Barry Beck and wife Shelley, grandchildren, Brian Beck and wife Candice, Kevin Beck, and Jordan Beck.
Tommy had a wonderful life and enjoyed it to the fullest. He was a loving husband, father, and friend. He always had a smile on his face and could make anyone laugh with the twinkle in his eye. Tommy is now encircled in God's arms and the promise of eternal life. His family and friends loved him deeply. He will be greatly missed each and every day.
Pallbearers will be Louis Henricy, Lee Hasselmeir, Brian Beck, Kevin Beck, Jordan Beck and Jason Carson.
